Gail Long Named as Senior Consultant

 

Gail Long, former CEO of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and a 29-year veteran of private equity investing, corporate banking, mezzanine debt, and leveraged buyout finance, has been named as an affiliated Senior Consultant for Getzler Henrich & Associates, the national turnaround and restructuring firm. Ms. Long officially joined the firm in August. As senior consultant, Gail will focus primarily on the firm’s business development in the M&A community. Prior to spearheading the ACG, Gail served as an executive vice president at Citizens Bank of Massachusetts, where she also oversaw New England large corporate lending and was President of Citizens Capital, Citizens Financial Group $450mm private equity group. Additionally, Gail had previously founded Eagle Mezzanine Partners, a pledge fund providing mezzanine financing backed by BancBoston Capital. She spent nineteen years at BankBoston and during her tenure there managed acquisition finance, large corporate lending, as well as establishing three specialty lending groups: Retail and Apparel, Automotive and Heavy Machinery and Restaurant lending “Gail’s expertise and admirable reputation in marketing and structuring deals in both the equity and debt areas greatly complements our focus areas at the firm,” said Joel Getzler, vice chairman of Getzler Henrich. “We are all looking forward to working with her.” Gail also consults for W Capital Partners, a private equity firm that buys direct equity on the secondary market. Gail graduated from Tulane University and obtained her MBA from Simmons School of Management. She also holds a masters degree from Boston University. She resides in Marblehead, MA and has two children.
